today was a an important day in our university's democratic processes. elections always pose a test for functioning and dysfunctional democracies, and this one was a corner-stone to our democratically built foundations. i sound like one of our asslicking politicians. i hate it. Here's the thing, i voted for Ron in this year's AUK Student government elections.
+++++
There were totally 271 voters, out of 365 students at AUK, or 74.25% of AUK. The votes were divided as following: 1. Besar Dinarama and Ron Krasniqi (sophomores) .................... 125 votes (46.13%)
2. Granit Jakupi and Granit Hasani (freshman) ............................. 86 votes (31.73%)
3. Alban Zeka and Ardian Hasanaj (fresh./soph.) .......................... 56 votes (20.66%)
Abstains………………………………………………………........ 4 ‘votes’ (1.48%)
Total: 271 voters (74.25%)
+++++
So there you have it. my man ron won the thing and is now the vice-president of the student government. he also sold half of his heart and soul for this. i haven't seen him yet, and when i do, i'm gonna ask him to buy me a rich, chocolate ice-cream and a bottle of water. go Ron and just Run!
